COURSES
University
and college students coming from Central Europe to study in England are
generally looking for one-year courses which lead to an honours degree.
There are two types of course which are relevant:
- Top-up
- usually a course designed for a single year of study and sometimes
created specifically for overseas students. These courses generally
assume a general knowledge of the subject area and operate a steep
learning curve in the first few weeks to reach university level
- Year
3 Entry - students join the third year of an existing three year
course. This type of entry can prove more challenging, because the
student will need to have a good knowledge of what has already been
taught in years 1 + 2 and will be joining an established group of
students
