Visiting the UK Dublin International Foundation College

We specialize in preparing students for university entrance.

Dublin International Foundation College (DIFC) offers undergraduate and graduate foundation courses as a pathway to top Universities in Ireland and the UK. Since 1999, we have placed more than 1000 International students in our partner universities in Ireland and the UK. DIFC has been appointed by the university consortium NCUK as their exclusive delivery centre in Ireland for NCUK foundation courses.

Study in Ireland with DIFC

. Our complete package includes English courses, assistance with study visas, secure on-campus accommodation - and a guaranteed place at an Irish or UK university for non EU students upon successful completion of the NCUK foundation course. NCUK IFY and Graduate Diploma: DIFC offers the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) and NCUK Graduate Diploma (originally called the Pre-Masters Programme or PMP). The IFY programme includes an English for Academic Purposes module (EAP) which is accepted by universities and removes the need for a separate IELTS examination. All our courses are taught by qualified teachers approved by NCUK.

University placement

During our foundation courses, students participate in the NCUK/DIFC university placement system. Designed to make university entrance easy for International students, it provides one-to-one counselling and advice, along with a coordinated application procedure.

Pre-Foundation English courses

We also offer general English courses throughout the year. These prepare students to enter the NCUK foundation programmes at DIFC.

Tuition Fees for EU Students / Non-EU students already living in Ireland for minimum 12 months

International Foundation Year - Health Sciences 9,950 Euros

International Foundation Year - All streams 6,950 Euros

Graduate Diploma 6,950 Euros

EU Students

The DIFC Campus

Just a 15 minute walk from Dublin city centre, DIFC is situated on a 7-acre campus which is shared by two other colleges. In total, there are currently 5,000 students on campus, studying on a full and part-time basis.

Located on the campus are:

Home Stay

As an alternative to Halls of Residence, why not consider staying with an Irish family a great way to practice and improve your English during your bridging course.

This is an ideal choice for younger students and we would advise you to spend at least one month in home stay on arrival in Ireland while you decide where you want to live. The cost is 165 Euros per week and includes all meals and bills.

Student Testimonials

"I really enjoyed the time that I spent in the DIFC and it gave me a new perspective on my academic background especially with English. This programme made me stronger to tackle any circumstances the first year in the university. Furthermore, the English skills that I have developed from this programme helped me to be a competitive student even with native speakers"

Hisham, IFY 2008 student now studying in the RCSI
